Degree & Ph.D. Awards
RemTech’s 2016 Scientific Committee announces the RemTech’s 2016 Degree and Ph.D. Awards.
The prizes (variable amount between 1,000.00 and 2,000.00 Euros) are given to the drafters of the best Degree and Ph.D. thesis, discussed after the 1st of January 2015 in an Italian university and concerning a theme related to remediation of contaminated sites and – news of 2016 – the innovative requalification of remediated sites.
This year a special prize of 2,000.00 will be awarded by the National Council of Chemists to commemorate Prof. Francesco Dondi, an active component of RemTech’s Scientific Committee since its birth (2007) until 2013, passed away on October 30, 2015.
The winners of the awards and special awards are selected by a commission formed by the Coordinator and two representatives of RemTech’s 2016 Scientific Committee.
The prizes and the possible special awards are going to be presented on the occasion of the opening conference of RemTech 2016 (Wednesday, September 21 from 12:30 to 13:30), the main event in Italy on the remediation of contaminated sites, to be held in Ferrara from September 21 to 23, 2016.
Successful candidates will be invited to prepare, according to the criteria that will be communicated to them, a brief summary of their thesis, which will be published on “RECOVER” magazine, edited by DEA Edizioni.
All participants are required to display a poster on their won thesis (70x100 cm.) and to take freely part in all the conference sessions of RemTech.
The candidates should submit the application on ordinary paper (.doc or .pdf file) by the 28th of July, stating:
- name and surname of the candidate
- telephone and postal references, e-mail address
- Degree or Ph.D. thesis discussion date.
The application should be accompanied by:
- four electronic copies (four CDs) of the thesis
- a poster (70x100 cm.), which will appear in the “Degree & Ph. D. Awards Poster Session” of the event.
The application, the four CDs and the posters must be sent by regular mail or courier to:
